The Casino: Double Eagle Hotel & Casino opened August 29th 1996 and became the biggest casino in Cripple Creek until Wildwood Casino at Cripple Creek opened in May of 2008. The slot selection is the excellent and holds nearly 550 slot machines. Officially there are no table games in the Double Eagle, but this needs to be clarified: the Gold Creek Casino is attached to and actually owned by The Double Eagle Hotel Casino. This is where they are hiding 4 live blackjack tables, 7 poker tables a craps and a roulette table. (so fear not!) So on the books, there are not tables. For the record... yes there are. In addition you'll find another 162 slot machines in here, too....
Double Eagle also has a lot of promotions going on. If you like to "participate" with your casino, the Double Eagle is a great casino that engages its patrons in all sorts of contests and prizes.
Hotel lodging: Luckily for Double Eagle guests, there is a hotel attached to the casino which is rare in Cripple Creek (or the other gaming towns in Colorado for that matter). Prices are reasonable and quality good to excellent depending on your room selection. Prices range from about $90 a night all the way up to $500 a night for the presidential suite. There are middle of the road hotel rooms, too.
